The Backdrive Alignment Kit has been produced to meet the Network Rail requirement for setting up mechanical backdrives.

Consistently aligns backdrives from manufacture to maintenance.

Designed to suit full depth and shallow depth switches in 4ft and 6ft locations.

Comes with a variety of step gauges to suit various switch lengths.

The complete kit consists of.

4 x Crank gauges to suit full and shallow depth with interchangeable location pins.

9 x Pairs of step gauges.

2 x Pairs of lost motion gauges.

1 x Sleeve & crank plate alignment gauge.

Results from RCM readings show significant improvements in P.O.E. performance.

Pressure test results have confirmed that is may be possible to reduce the pressure used by 50 BAR.

TRACK GEOMETRY RADIUS - VERSINE GAUGE

The Track Geometry Radius - Versine Gauge has been produced to meet Network Rails requirement to offer an alternative to the traditional Hallade survey method.

An insulated gauge to measure the radius of track in S&C or plain line.

It can also be used for measuring dip angles at welds and joints in plain line and S&C.

The depth micrometer fitted to the gauge is capable of measurements to an accuracy of 0.01mm.

Versine measurements can then be assessed against the look up chart for the 1500mm bar.

LOW BASE ALIGNMENT GAUGE

The low base alignment gauge (Ref. 0111/120122) allows for drilling hardwood and softwood bearers (17mm & 19mm) in the correct location to drawing.

The low base gauge is suitable for 4 foot and 6 foot layouts and utilizes hardened steel bushes so that it is durable.

The low base alignment gauge is to be used in conjunction with the Crank plate sleeve and slide gauge (0111/110998) which is part of the backdrive alignment kit. The gauge also includes “sliders” where an 18mm offset will be present.

MAINTENANCE ARM & CARRY CASE

The maintenance arm (Ref. 0111/120015) has been produced to meet the requirement of maintenance depots.

The maintenance arm is an optional extra to be used in conjunction with the crank plate sleeve and slide gauge (0111/110998) which is part of the backdrive alignment kit.

The maintenance arm is for use on 7/8” pins without having to remove the pin with clearance for straight 45 and 90 degree grease nipples. The maintenance arm is fully interchangeable with the standard sleeve and slide gauge pin.

WIDE GAUGES

The wide gauges have been produced for areas where ‘wide gauge’ is common.

The product is used in the same way as the ‘batwing’ step gauges used in the backdrive alignment kit.

CARRY CASE FOR BACKDRIVE ALIGNMENT KIT (0111/111006)

The case conforms to IP67 meaning that they keep out both dust and water – even at a water depth of one metre for at least 30 minutes. The case is also shock-resistant, offering maximum protection for the kit. It is fitted with a pre-cut foam insert to house the individual components of the kit.
